Rodolfo (Rudy) Pompa, age 87, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 with his family by his side.
Rudy proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII and the Korean conflict.
He was a dedicated employee of Kelly AFB as an aircraft electrician.
Rudy was an avid fisherman and was passionate in his love of his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Antonia Pompa; his brother, Raul Pompa and sister, Delia Garcia.
Rudy is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Esther; his children: Robert Pompa, Sr. and wife, Cheri; Phillip Pompa and wife, Diane; Evelyn Pompa; Mary Beltran and husband, Al; and eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers: Julian Pompa; Saul Pompa and wife, Olga; Joe Pompa and wife, Rose; and sister-in-law, Hortencia Pompa.
We were all fortunate to have shared in his love ~ he will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 18th from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough followed by a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel.
